In
India, children become orphans overnight when their parents succumb
to deadly diseases such as AIDS, cancer, TB or to natural calamities
such as floods, earthquakes and cyclones. Many more are orphaned
when their parents turn to crime, prostitution or are imprisoned.
These children are forced take refuge in the homes of their distant
relatives or to beg on the streets in cities.
Sacred Assemblies Fellowship desires to show compassion and mercy to
these orphans who have either lost both or one of their parents. SAF
want to raise a generation of godly and ethically strong young
people out these deprived ones all over India. As a part of our
efforts to see this desire fulfilled, we started a children's home
to look after orphaned children.
The Shalom Mercy Home in Sonepat is functioning well under the
supervision of a resident family with seventeen kids. We nurture
them in the love of God and expect them to be spreading the same
love to the world in the coming days.
We do have plans to start such Mercy Homes in other states of India
too. The need is great and we invite your prayers and valuable
partnership in our endeavours.
